Gracia Trujillo Barbadillo

Doctor of Sociology (UAM), Doctor member of the Instituto Juan March de Estudios e Investigaciones, and Lecturer at the Departmental Section of Applied Sociology in the Faculty of Education (UCM), accredited as a Full Professor by ANECA. She has undertaken research stays at NYU, Universidad de Buenos Aires, FLACSO in Quito, Universidad de Coimbra, Birkbeck College of London Universty and Humboldt University in Berlín. She has formed part of research projects at a national and international level, the most recent being the I+D+i project Crisis y cambios sociales: impactos de la modernización en la España del siglo XX; and the European Project Diversity and childhood. She is the author of a large number of articles in leading journals, two books and four co-editions, the most recent being Queer epistemologies in education. Luso-Hispanic dialogues and shared horizons (Palgrave McMillan, 2020).

Researcher on the project entitled I+D+i Crisis y cambios sociales: impactos de la modernización en la España del siglo XX. IP: José Antonio Castellanos, UCLM (01/01/2015- 31/12/2018, including extension), with a sum of 47.000 euros.

Researcher on the Spanish team in the European project entitled HERA-Uses of the Past CRUSEV: Cruising the 1970s: Exploring pre-HIV/AIDS Queer Sexual Cultures. Project Leader: Glyn Davis (U of Edinburgh); IPs: Andreas Krass (Humboldt U), Tomek Basiuk (U of Warsaw) y Juan A Suárez (U of Murcia). Funding entity: European Science Foundation / European Union. Duration: 15/7/2016 to November 2019. Total amount of subsidy: 1.2 million euros.

Expert member on the Spanish case of the European research project entitled: Intimate. Citizenship, Care and Choice: The Micropolitics of Intimacy in Southern Europe, coordinado por Ana Cristina Santos (CES, Universidade de Coimbra), funded by the European Research Council (ERC), 2014- 2019. Amount of subsidy: 1.5 million euros.

Expert member on the Spanish case of the European research project entitled Diversity and childhood, funded by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship programme (2014-2020), coordinated by Josan Langarita (University de Girona).
